Mission: Confluence Park - A Community Cleanup

This past Sunday, 100 volunteers came together to celebrate Earth Week and to leave this planet better than how we found it. Together we removed 650 pounds of trash from the South Platte River. The most common piece of garbage that we found were single use plastics like bags, utensils, and bottles. On average, these items are used for 12 minutes and take 1,000+ years to decompose. We can all do our part by reducing our single use plastic consumption through switching to reusables. Learn more on our website about what single use items you can swap out for things that will last.
