How to Repurpose Your Keepsake Candle

Keepsake Candles

Clean-burning soy wax, inviting scents, and a cozy ceramic vessel just waiting to be upcycled – our Ceramic Keepsake Candles are basically the gifts that keep on giving. Read below to learn how to get your candle ready for its afterlife and some of our favorite ways to repurpose it, or watch the video tutorial here

Step 1: Burn

Depending on the size of the candle you purchased, you’ll get anywhere from 65-90 hours of clean-burning fragrance. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the smells.

Step 2: Freeze

Once the wax has burned to the bottom, place your (unlit) candle in the freezer for at least 2 hours to freeze any remaining wax.

Step 3: Clean

Use a butter knife to loosen and remove the frozen wax, and then thoroughly wash your jar with dish soap.

Step 4: Repurpose

You’re ready to reuse! You can repurpose your ceramic vessel in all sorts of ways (the glaze is food safe), but some of our favorites are as a canister, a catch all jar, and a planter. Happy upcycling!
