United By Blue Removed 944 Pounds of Trash from the Schuylkill River

In 1972, the United Nations declared June 5th as World Environment Day, a day dedicated to celebrating positive environmental action. We honored this global event with a river cleanup in our own backyard. In just a few hours, over 60 volunteers removed 944 pounds of trash from the Schuylkill River.
