UBB and IAMC Removed 355 Pounds from Bartram's Garden
Location: Bartram's Garden Philadelphia PA
Date: September 10, 20119:00 AM - 12:00 PM

On September 10th, United By Blue and the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) cleaned up one of our favorite locations, Bartram's Garden. IAMC, a Georgia-based company, wanted to do more than just hold their Fall 2011 professional forum in our fair city, they wanted to give back to the Philadelphia community. The day before their convention was dedicated to cleaning the Schuylkill, chowing down on cheesesteaks and helping out at PHS's Pop Up Garden.
Even though we weren't able to get on the banks of the river due to massive flooding, the hardworking IAMC members still removed 355 pounds of trash. Our weird trash collection included a half of a canoe and a fire extinguisher. In a few short hours, we picked up 248 plastic bottles and unfortunately many more floated downstream out of our reach (if only we had the other half of the canoe). United By Blue would like to thank the wonderful crew from the Industrial Asset Management Council.
